“Lincoln Townley’s artistic expression is a testament to the power of authenticity and immersion—principles that resonate deeply with us at BMW Eurokars Auto. Just as his work invites audiences to fully engage with his vision, we strive to create an equally immersive experience for our customers. Our spaces are designed to inspire true freedom of expression, allowing individuals to craft their dream BMW with a personal touch that reflects their unique identity. It’s not just about a car; it’s about shaping an experience that is deeply personal and truly unforgettable. That’s what it means to Drive the Difference.”
— Charmain Kwee, Group Executive Director, Eurokars Group
“This was not only an opportunity to showcase our brand, but a unique opportunity for us to engage with a new audience that shares the same fascinations as our customers – innovation, artistic expression, and emotional storytelling. The atmosphere was brimming with engaging conversation and excitement and will definitely be remembered by all.” – Lars Nielsen, Managing Director, BMW Group Asia.
Your art is all about energy and intensity. Does driving a BMW give you the same kind of adrenaline rush as creating a bold new piece?
Townley: Absolutely. I just ordered the BMW M5 Touring in the UK—bought it 18 months ago when it first launched. Right now, I drive the BMW M5 Competition, and it’s everything my work represents: intensity, dynamism, aggression. It’s the best car I’ve ever driven—and I collect a lot of cars.
You’ve painted some of the world’s biggest icons. If you could take on any legendary figure—past or present—as your next piece, who would it be and why?
Townley: The legendary Sir Michael Caine. My next work is dedicated to his extraordinary 60-year film career. He’s an artist in his own right, and his legacy deserves to be captured on canvas.
If you had to choose between never painting again or never driving again, which would you give up?
(Townley laughs, pausing to consider which would unsettle him more.)
Townley: I’d have to put the canvas in the back of my M5 Competition. They both go hand in hand.
