BMW EUROKARS AUTO x BOTERO: A Precious Steed

Art, Motion and the Automobile as Cultural Form

Singapore. BMW Eurokars Auto presents BMW Eurokars Auto x Botero: A Precious Steed, an exclusive artistic collaboration developed in dialogue with Botero in Singapore, the landmark exhibition presented by IMBA at Gardens by the Bay. Conceived as a cultural extension of the exhibition, the collaboration explores the automobile as a sculptural object, where form, volume and motion converge.

As the Official Automotive Partner of Botero in Singapore, BMW Eurokars Auto translates the visual language of Maestro Fernando Botero into contemporary automotive design, presenting a series of bespoke BMW vehicles featuring Botero-inspired artistic compositions that situate mobility within a broader cultural and aesthetic context.

The Precious Steed: Art, Symbolism and Motion

In Chinese culture, the horse symbolises strength, vitality and forward momentum. The name 宝马 (BMW), meaning “precious steed”, lends particular resonance to the collaboration, aligning the symbolism of the Year of the Horse with BMW’s philosophy of dynamic performance, innovation and refined luxury, making this collaboration a natural expression of power, elegance and progress.

Set against Botero in Singapore, the largest and most ambitious presentation of Botero’s work ever staged globally, and its first and only stop in Southeast Asia — A Precious Steed reimagines the BMW automobile as both design object and moving canvas for artistic expression, where sculpture, scale and motion intersect.

Three Bespoke BMW Vehicles in Dialogue with Botero

At the heart of the collaboration are three bespoke BMW vehicles, each distinguished by Botero-inspired graphic treatments that reinterpret the artist’s sculptural approach to volume, balance and presence.

BMW 735i and BMW iX40, on display at the BMW Eurokars Experience Centre till 22 February 2026.

Inspired by Botero’s bold and expressive forms, the designs evoke the horse’s commanding presence, powerful yet poised, creating a visual dialogue between fine art and BMW’s precision engineering. The BMW 7 Series and BMW iX serve as ideal platforms for this interpretation, embodying contemporary luxury, advanced technology and progressive mobility.

All three BMW vehicles, each representing a highly exclusive expression of Botero art and BMW craftsmanship, design and collectability, are available for purchase through BMW Eurokars Auto. (Price is available upon request).

Luxury on Wheels, Culture in Motion

“A Precious Steed reflects our belief that the automobile can be a contemporary cultural form, one that carries meaning, craftsmanship and emotion,” said Jason Lim, Managing Director, BMW Eurokars Auto. “Inspired by Botero’s exploration of volume and presence, this collaboration places BMW design in conversation with art, allowing culture to move beyond the gallery and into lived experience.”

Since its appointment as an Authorised BMW Dealer in October 2022, BMW Eurokars Auto has curated a portfolio of rare and limited-edition BMW vehicles, including:

  • Singapore Icons (one-of-one), created by BMW Asia in 2025 to commemorate BMW’s 40th anniversary and Singapore’s 60th birthday, and showcased solely at Eurokars Auto.
  • BMW 3.0 CSL, one of only 50 units globally
  • BMW Skytop, one of 50 units globally, featured at the Singapore Motorshow 2026

Alongside the Botero-inspired BMW vehicles, the BMW 3.0 CSL and BMW Skytop will also be presented exclusively at the BMW Eurokars Experience Centre for a limited public viewing on 24 and 25 January 2026.

Botero in Singapore: A Defining Cultural Moment

Jointly presented by IMBA and the Fernando Botero Foundation, Botero in Singapore brings together over 130 original works by Maestro Fernando Botero across three formats:

  • Life in Fullness, the world’s first immersive Botero experience, narrated by Fernando Botero.
  • Heart of Volume, a major gallery exhibition of paintings, drawings and indoor sculptures drawn from the Botero family collection
  • Garden Grandeur, monumental outdoor sculptures installed at IMBA Theatre and the Silver Leaf Gardens at Gardens by the Bay

Purpose-built for immersive experiences and gallery exhibitions, IMBA Theatre offers a platform for world-class cultural presentations that invite exploration and discovery across generations. The exhibition marks a defining moment for IMBA’s opening programme and reinforces Singapore’s position as a leading gateway for international cultural presentations in Southeast Asia.

Exclusive Private Showcase

BMW Eurokars Auto will host a private showcase for BMW Excellence Club members, exclusively for BMW 7 Series owners, at the BMW Eurokars Experience Centre. The evening will feature a special sharing by Fernando Botero, offering guests an intimate perspective on his father’s artistic legacy, philosophy and enduring influence.
